![]() ![]() It seems like the Kurzweils are a whole other animal. I'm used to straight up stage pianos that turn on and have sounds to play. Can some of you Kurzweil people take me under your wing and give me some advice as to how I can get the most out of my new instrument? What is VAST? Why is it so wonderful? Why do the pianos sound shallower than on the Korg? I tried to do some research before I bought it, but there's a lot of information I still don't have. But getting it home, turning it on.Man this thing is complicated. I demoed the LE8 at GC and was impressed, so I traded up to it. I grew up in the late 80s and early 90s respecting Kurzweil as the super high end, the ultimate keyboards. I felt like I had dropped $2200 on an instrument that was wasted on me. I'm an aspiring film composer, and as I stated in a previous post, while I adored the sound and action of the Korg, I just don't funk it up with Rhodes and tines and stuff (as cool as the sounds are). So yesterday I traded my Korg SV-1 in for a Kurzweil PC3LE 8. ![]()
